SAT OR ACT SCORES FOR PLACEMENT

For admissions beginning with the academic term in the fall of 2000, students who present scores on either the College Board’s SAT-I or the American College Testing Program’s Enhanced ACT test that meet or exceed the scores shown below, may be exempted from taking the Florida College Entry-Level Placement Test. 

Individual student scores shall be valid for two years.

Mathematics 440 (for placement in MAT 1033, students wanting to take a higher level math class will need to take the Florida College Entry-Level Placement Test)

Enhanced ACT, American College Testing Program

                    Mathematics 19 (for placement in MAT 1033, students wanting to take a higher level math class will need to take the Florida College Entry-Level Placement Test)

 

Gulf Coast Community College will need to have official scores. All ACT or SAT scores received on an official high school or college transcript will be accepted.

SAT score reports are available on line for one year after your high school graduation. The web address for this service is www.collegeboard.com. You can call 1-800-728-7267 and have test scores sent.

CPT Scores for college-level placement in English, reading and mathematics:
        
        English - 83
        Reading - 83  for placement in ENC1101 a student must meat both English and reading scores of 83
        Mathematics - Algebra score of 72 - 87 places the student in MAT1033
                              Algebra score of 88 or higher places the student in MAC1105, STA2023 or MGF1106
