University Transfer

Do you plan on transferring to a University after leaving GCCC? Well the state of Florida guarantees that students who complete an AA degree at a Florida community college have the opportunity to enroll in and earn a bachelors degree at a state university.(Note: However admission into a specific program at a given university may not be assured. Some degree programs have additional requirements-please see Career Center staff for more details) Whether it was lack of financial aid, proximity to home, or uncertainty about plans, transfer college students have their own reasons why they started their college career at a community college. These reasons should never hinder the chance for any transfer college student's abilities to accomplish their goals and dreams.

Planning and finding the right college is the most important part of the transfer process; this will take time, however Furtheryoureducation.com has developed a checklist for transfer college students to help with the transfer to the college of their choice. This website has everything that a transfer college student needs to know about transferring to a four-year college-from selecting the right major to finding student aid for your college student transfer.
